Raunds Lodge Nursing Home was established as a family business in 1995. From 1995 onwards we have strived for excellence and improvement on both the nursing care front as well as the facilities we offer service users.
We are accredited by Gold Standard Framework as ( COMMEND STATUS ). This award is a quality hallmark award which recognises homes promoting and providing the very best care possible for all residents who are nearing the end of their lives. To be accredited with this award we have to achieve 20 quality standards, provide a portfolio of evidence and undergo an assessment visit from a GSF quality assessor.
What is GSF?
GSF is a systematic, evidence based approach to optimising care for all patients approaching the end of life, delivered by generalist care providers. This includes care:-
• For people considered to be at any stage in the final years of life;
• For people with any condition or diagnosis
• For people in any setting, in whichever bed they are in
• Provided by anyone in health or social care
• At any time needed
We do this in a wide range of settings by providing a complete package to improve end of life care including :
• Quality improvement training programmes and quality assurance Accreditation
• Tools, resources and guides that are tried and tested
• Measures - evaluations and metrics, comparative and benchmarked and local support for best implementation and cross-boundary integration
Every organisation involved in providing end of life care will be expected to adopt a coordination process such as the GSF
Department of Health End of Life Care Strategy 2008
The rooms are comfortable, spacious and have the facilities that service users may require including
WC en-suite in all rooms.
We have an in house laundry facilities and disinfection units to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene which we take very seriously.
We believe in residents being able to enjoy all facilities that we offer. Our spacious garden for the residents is one which they have full use of through out the year. We actively encourage residents to make full use of the garden, as well as being involved in the gardens preservation. There is also ample Car parking space for visitors with easy access to the building and garden.
At Raunds Lodge we believe in keeping high standards which is why the majority of our care staff have a minimum Health and Social care certificate Level 2 or are working towards achieving this level. We have a qualified chef who cooks fresh meals through the day. This ensures that our residents have a healthy balanced diet.
Over all our aim is to make the residents time with us as comfortable as we possibly can and we will do everything with in our power to make sure that residents and loved ones feel that we are providing the highest quality of care.
Here's our past families comments, as there are many to list we update the comments regularly.
Dear All, I must thank you for the wonderful way you all treated my father in his final days. Every one was kind, compassionate and caring above and beyond the call of duty, nothing was too much trouble and all care was given with respect and dignity.
I Particularly want to say how impressed I was with the care, understanding and selfless dedication of the staff. The compassion and sympathy they showed towards my mother and indeed all those who visited her was second to none I could not ask for more. The staff attended to my mother’s needs with concern and patience in a dignified, gentle and professional manner and it was commendable to see.
